POSITION SUMMARY
Playbook is seeking a motivated and results-driven Client Services Coordinator to support the day-to-day needs of clients and internal team members. This role is pivotal in managing client relationships, ensuring successful project execution, and contributing to account growth. The ideal candidate is results-driven and will have a background in sports, healthcare, and/or entertainment industries and demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills.
There will be occasions that you will be required to support client needs on-site at various events or sporting events that fall on nights and/or weekends. Understanding that the sports business can bring travel, late nights, and weekend work, this role may extend beyond a traditional 9-5, Monday-Friday schedule. The role will be remote, however preference will be given to an individual living in a major market.
essential functions
Lead a portfolio of client relationships, serving as the senior point of contact and strategic partner for key accounts across the Playbook for Health client base.
Provide oversight and mentorship to Account Managers and Sr. Managers, ensuring consistent quality, strategic alignment, and team development across assigned accounts.
Own and drive account growth strategies, identifying upsell and expansion opportunities for the business. while partnering with internal leadership to develop new business pitches and proposals.
Build and maintain executive-level client relationships, participating in stakeholder meetings, strategic reviews, and renewal conversations to ensure long-term partnership health.
Support and improve team workflows, processes, and operating standards to drive efficiency and consistency across client services delivery.
Partner with Playbook Analytics and Brand Strategy teams to deliver data-driven insights, performance reporting, and partnership valuations that demonstrate measurable client impact.
Lead high-stakes client presentations, strategy sessions, and partnership reviews, representing Playbook for Health at the highest level of professionalism and expertise.
Oversee on-site activation delivery for key client events, providing senior presence and strategic direction at marquee sponsorship moments.
Stay ahead of trends across healthcare, sports, and entertainment sponsorship, translating industry intelligence into strategic recommendations for clients and the broader Playbook for Health team.
Contribute to agency-wide strategic planning, team structure decisions, and capacity planning in partnership with Executive Leadership.
qualifications
8 to 10+ years of account services experience, agency experience required, with preference given to experience previously or presently working at a consulting or sports marketing agency, sports team, healthcare system, and/or events industries
Experience working in team leadership position, along with ability to work across, and lead multiple accounts
Proven ability to manage and develop a team of account managers and managers, with experience coaching direct reports on career growth and performance.
Strategic acumen with demonstrated experience growing accounts, identifying upsell opportunities, and managing budgets at the portfolio level.
Executive-level communication, presentation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to operate confidently with senior client stakeholders.
Strong operational mindset with experience building scalable systems, workflows, and team operating standards.
Data-driven decision maker with the ability to synthesize research, partnership valuations, and performance data into clear strategic recommendations.
Proficient in AI tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; experience with creative tools such as Adobe or Canva is a plus. Comfort presenting to senior-level audiences is essential.
Experience with business development, pitch support, or contributing to agency growth initiatives is a strong plus.

Reports to VP or C-Suite; directly manages Sr. Managers and Account Managers within an assigned practice area or client portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
