Company Background:
WHY PLAYBOOK
At Playbook for Health, you’ll join a fast-growing purpose-driven team at the intersection of healthcare and sponsorships, creating meaningful partnerships that inspire communities and deliver measurable impact. As the leading agency in our space, you will play a part in the growth of our agency, shaping the way health brands reach their communities through integrated marketing partnerships.
As part of a nimble, collaborative team of experts from top leagues, teams, and healthcare systems, your work will be seen, valued, and impactful. With a flexible remote-first culture, opportunities to travel, and exposure to high-profile partnerships, Playbook offers the chance to grow, innovate, and shape the future of healthcare sponsorships.
POSITION SUMMARY
Playbook is seeking a strategic, high-energy, and detail-oriented Manager of Brand Experience + Activation who seamlessly balances elite client services with visionary experiential leadership. Reporting directly to the VP, Activation + Brand Experience, and working in tandem with the accounts team, you will play a critical role in bringing our clients’ partnerships to life through master-level strategic planning, event production, and dynamic on-site activation delivery.
The ideal candidate understands the data and strategy behind a great idea and possesses the creative spark to build original activation concepts from scratch. You are solutions-oriented, thrive under live-event pressure, and love seeing a big idea transition from a pitch deck to an on-the-ground reality.
This is a full-time role with regular travel required, including nights and weekends in alignment with client events and sports schedules. The role will be remote; however, preference will be given to an individual living in a major market.
WHY YOU
To thrive as our Manager of Brand Experience + Activation, you aren't just looking for a job, you are looking to build something great alongside a team that cares about your success. You are a self-motivated, high-energy individual who blends creativity with operational discipline.
Here is how you show up every day
You effortlessly bridge the gap between high-level conceptual strategy and hands-on execution. You are energized by pitching a boundary-pushing idea to a client, and equally ready to roll up your sleeves, and physically set up an activation footprint on-site at a stadium. No task is too big or too small.
You are a natural self-starter who takes immediate initiative. However, you don't operate in a silo. You actively seek out internal context, respect the nuances of long-standing client relationships, and continually collaborate with leadership to help us show up better as an agency.
You understand that working with major healthcare brands means navigating complex corporate structures, strict compliance guidelines, and slow approval cycles. When a client project requires endless iterations, or a brilliant strategy is ultimately sidelined due to their internal politics, you don't take it personally. You maintain a positive attitude, find the lesson, and keep pushing forward.
You are fundamentally incapable of just checking a box. You are fiercely curious and obsessed with finding the strategic core—the true why—behind every campaign, engagement strategy, and partnership choice.
You align deeply with our servant-leadership mindset. You care about the success of your teammates just as much as our clients. You celebrate individual wins, but you live by the startup reality that collective success is the ultimate victory: when one of us wins, we all win.
You are highly professional and thrive in a fast-paced environment, but you also know that live-event travel takes a toll. You value a remote-first culture that actively encourages you to take the necessary flexibility to rest, unplug, and recharge your creative batteries.
